The story was expertly crafted with all the juicy elements of classic pulp noir, but is told with an adrenaline rush that stamps it in today's fast paced world. Sterry's prose makes us feel the flesh of the Snow Leopard, smell the sexual heat, taste the sweat, hear the blasts of gunfire, and experience the wants and desires of a sex maniac. It's literary Technicolor, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

For starters, I love the title. Who DOESN'T want to hear the confessions of a sex maniac?
As a fan of Sterry's work, I was looking forward to the deft blend of sex/humor/tragedy/violence seasoned with consuming self-awareness which marks his storytelling. The Sex Maniac does not disappoint.
This is a short, wild, fantastic ride of a story. It's sexy and suspenseful without even a moment of predictable verbage. The story rushes out in fierce, vivid prose, and in the end, the adventure is all worthwhile.

Love this book--only sorry it was such a quick read, but then that's kinda like sex most of the time...lots of build up and we love it but it ends too soon. That's what keeps us sex maniacs coming back for more, and more, over & over. Sterry's choice of detail is artful and he leads us through this book by our genitals...
In the tradition of William Kotzwinkle's "The Fan Man" and Jim Carroll's "Basketball Diaries" and "Forced Entries", David Henry Sterry's "Confessions of a Sex Maniac" has a fascinating and addicted-to-something main character that drives the narrative towards an explosive ending. Put some music behind it and you'd have a long and fine Tom Waits song. After hanging out with these characters for a while you might feel the distinct need to take a thorough shower. Intense and memorable.
I loved David Henry Sterry's " Confession of a Sex Maniac". This is such a great story - that makes you feel every moment of the character " the sex maniac" in his quest for the Snow Leopard, and as he searches it all comes down to him choosing his path in the city of San Francisco. David Henry Sterry, is a brilliant author and writer. The descriptions of the sex maniac and the snow leopard take you into his story from the very start. Wow! Wow! Wow!

I didn't know what to expect when I started reading "Confessions of a Sex Maniac" along the seductive sands of the Gulf of Mexico. I knew that I wanted to have a good read for my imagination while on vacation, and I couldn't have been more satisfied in choosing to bring this book. It was sheer genius; defining the lines between death and the ultimate craving to satisfy one's sexual conquest. Here, being the Snow Leopard. This story left me gripping and wanting more as I got sucked into the action, sexual desires and humor that Sterry provided his readers with. I loved this book!
